The Supreme 2S Griptac ice hockey stick is one of Bauer’s newly redesigned sticks in its Supreme line. The shaft construction has undergone an upgrade with Bauer’s new High Performance Mold Process. Now the walls of the stick shaft are much more consistent than a typical two-piece stick. The result is performance akin to a true one-piece design with enhanced playability, feel, and balance, because excess resin and other materials have been removed at the co-molding seam. The other thing missing from the Supreme 2S is the one-piece price. The shaft is made with 3K carbon fiber twill that is 20% stronger than the unidirectional carbon fiber used in other models, for increased shaft durability. The 2S is also constructed with an improved R2 resin system for additional lightweight consistency. The 2S kick-point has been redesigned for power shooters who load extra energy into their shots. The MPK (Maximum Power Kick) Mid-Flex Profile is designed to release more energy with increased efficiency on each shot. The stiff lower third of the shaft raises the kick-point for maximum power, while the softer upper third allows for a greater bow when shooting. The blade on the Supreme 2S features exciting technology in Bauer’s Max Balance system. Related to the ACL technology found in the 2S Pro, Max Balance includes thin layers of carbon fiber and an optimized layering process, allowing for more carbon layers in the blade. Consequently, the blade is lighter weight and feels better balanced, but its edges are strengthened for improved durability. The 2S blade also features the AeroFoam I Core, with two foam materials for a lightweight feel that’s both balanced and durable. The blade is now softer acting—perfect for catching hard passes and taking thunderous shots. The blade’s 12K carbon fiber is lighter weight and 10% stronger than the 3K carbon on the 2S Team stick. The lighter 12K carbon raises the stick’s balance point, helping to load additional energy into the shaft. The new Supreme 2S hockey stick now manages energy better than previous iterations thanks to the technologies that boost the kick-point and soften the overall puck feel in the blade. When you take the 2S onto the ice, you have the best of both worlds—all the performance of a one-piece stick, but without the one-piece price.
